Dream Shield is assembling a national network of autobody shops, converted to one build standard, so that a family in any city gets the same vehicle a family gets in Las Vegas.
We are looking for established body and paint shops whose owners want a transaction, and whose crews want to keep working.
Read the termsWho armors the vehicle, to what standard, tested by whom, and what happens when it needs service in another state.
Read the standardDream Shield Automotive Corporation is the parent. It owns the brand, the build standard, and the supply chain, and it acquires the shops that do the work.
Most armoring companies are a single facility. A customer drives or ships a vehicle to one address, waits, and drives it home — and every subsequent service visit repeats the journey. The industry accepts this because its dominant customer is government, and government fleets are centrally managed.
Our customer is a family. Families do not ship vehicles across the country, and they do not want to explain their vehicle to a shop that has never seen one. So the network is the product as much as the armor is.
If you own a body and paint shop and you have been wondering what the exit looks like, this is the honest version.
An armoring conversion is not a rebrand. It changes what leaves your bay, who your customer is, and what your technicians are trained to do. It also changes what the shop is worth, because an armoring bay is not competing with the collision shop down the road on insurance rates.
The threat this network is built for is not a motorcade ambush. It is an American road.
Road rage that escalates to a firearm. A carjacking at a light. Being present at something that had nothing to do with you. Nobody is targeting these families — they were simply there. That reality sets the protection level, and it is why this group leads with a handgun-rated system rather than a military one.
Very few companies in the United States can name every step of an armored vehicle and own each one. This group can.
